Connecting to MSSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Teradata, Hive, PostgreSQL, DB2, and SAP Hana Databases via Single Connect SQL Proxy

The port number is the identifier of the connection to the Database via Single Connect SQL Proxy.

  1. Create a new connection on the SQL Client.
  2. Enter the database username and password.
  3. Set the Single Connect IP address as the connection host and IP address.
  4. Enter the Bind Port number defined in the sql.proxy.bind.port field of the Device Properties of the related device.

  • Single Connect supports Domain Authentication by including Single Connect and the user’s PC in the Domain. Once this is in place, the Windows Authentication option will be ready to use.
  • The username and password are the same as the user credentials used directly to the database. The username must be defined as a user in Single Connect, and realms must be created for connection and policy enforcement by a system admin.
