Adding Cluster Accounts in Password Vault
For cluster accounts in target devices, the same password should be set for both instances. To make the configuration for cluster accounts, an account has to be defined for an active cluster node. Once that is done, other nodes can be defined by following these steps:
- Navigate to Secrets > Vault.
- Open the Vault tab.
- Select the defined active node account and click its Options button.
- Select the Create Identical Account option.
Identical Account Creation Option
- Enter the Account name, other cluster node IP address, and Parent Group.
- Click Create.
Create Identical Account dialog box
- While adding a cluster account, a connection to the device is not established. The password of the first account of the cluster is assigned automatically to identical accounts.
- The proper regular expression should be defined for the change.password.failure.pattern property in the Vault configuration, to prevent password change on passive nodes.
To search for identical accounts for an account:
- Navigate to Secrets > Vault.
- Open the Vault tab.
- Select the desired account and click the Options button.
- Select the Show Identical Accounts option.
