Viewing Device Detail

To view device details, follow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device that will be monitored.

  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device that will be monitored.
  4. Click on the Edit button located next to the Device Detail Screen.

Assigning Access Credentials

To assign Access Credentials after discovery process, fallow the steps bellow,

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device.
  4. Click on the Configure : button located on the top right corner of the Screen.
  5. Click on Access Credentials.
  6. Move correct credentials to the right side of the dual table. Click save.

Assigning Monitor Templates

To assign Monitor Templates to a device, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device.
  4. Click on the Configure : button located on the top right corner of the Screen.
  5. Click Monitor Templates.
  6. Move correct Monitor templates to the right side of the dual table. Click save.

Assigning Policies

To assign Policies to a device, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device.
  4. Click on the Configure : button located on the top right corner of the Screen.
  5. Click Polices.
  6. Move correct Polices to the right side of the dual table. Click save.

Assigning Device Groups

To assign and Configure : Device Groups fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device.
  4. Click on the Configure : button located on the top right corner of the Screen.
  5. Click Assign Device Group.
  6. Move groups to the right side of the dual table that the device will be assigned to
  7. Click ok.

  3. Click on the IP address of the device.

To trigger all monitors to collect data, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.

  4. Click actions from the top right corner.

To test the credentials of a device, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the IP address of the device.
  4. Click actions from the top right corner.

Deleting Devices

To delete a device, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Check the check box of the device that will be deleted.
  4. Scroll down to bulk actions.
  5. Select Delete click apply.

Manage and Unmanaging Devices

To manage or umanage a device, fallow the steps bellow. When a device is unmanaged SM stops collecting data for the device and when managed SM will start collecting data again.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Check the check box of the device that will be Managed or Unmanaged.
  4. Scroll down to bulk actions.
  5. Select Manage or Unmanage click apply.

Suppressing and Unsuppressing Alarms for a Device

To suppress or unsuppressing alarms for a device, fallow the steps bellow. When alarms are suppressed for a device SM will not be creating alarms for the device.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Check the check box of the device that alarms will be suppressed or unsuppressed.
  4. Scroll down to bulk actions.
  5. Select Suppress or UnSuppress click apply.

Enabling and Disabling Maintenance Mode

To enable or disable Maintenance Mode, fallow the steps bellow. When a device is in Maintenance Mode SM stops collecting data and creating alarms for the device until maintenance duration ends.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Check the check box of the device that will be in Maintenance mode.
  4. Scroll down to bulk actions.
  5. Select click apply.

Enabling and Disabling Config Manager

To enable or disable Config Manager module for a device, fallow the steps below.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the device IP that Config Manager will be enabled.
  4. Click on the edit button next to the device detail.
  5. To enable check the box for Config Manager.
  6. .Scroll down click save.

To enable or disable Traffic Analyzer module for a device, fallow the steps below.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Monitoring Devices.
  3. Click on the device IP that Traffic Analyzer will be enabled.
  4. Click on the edit button next to the device detail.
  5. To enable check the box for Traffic Analyzer.
  6. Scroll down click save.

Adding Databases

To add databases, fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to Settings Monitoring Templates.
  3. Click on Database and then add monitor.
  4. Enter required fields.
  5. Click save.
  6. To view the database, navigate to Monitoring Devices and click on Databases from top right corner.
