Adding Device Types

To add a device type, fallow the steps below.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI 
  2. Navigate to Settings – Device Types. 
  3. Click on the add device type button on the top right screen.
  4. Enter required information for the device type.

Assigning Monitors

To assign a monitor for a device type fallow the steps below. Its possible to assign monitors while your creating the device type or by just editing it.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI 
  2. Navigate to settings device types.
  3. Click on the add device type button on the top right corner.
  4. Click on the edit button next to the Assigned Monitors header
  5. Move the monitors to the right side that you would like to assign to the device type.
  6. Click ok.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to settings device types.
  3. Click on the device type name that you would like to add monitoring templates.
  4. Click on the edit button next to Assigned Monitors header.
  5. Move the monitors to the right side that you would like to assign to the device type.
  6. Click on Sync All devices so that every device with the device type your editing gets affected by the changes you made.

Adding Property Details

To add and edit property details fallow the steps bellow.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to settings device types.
  3. Click on the device type name that you would like to add Property Details.
  4. Click on the edit button next to Property Details header.
  5. Move the Properties to the right side that you would like to assign to the device type.
  6. Click on Sync All devices so that every device with the device type your editing gets affected by the changes you made.

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to settings device types.
  3. Click on the device type name that you would like to make changes on.
  4. After editing the device type it is necessary to click on the Sync All device’s button from the top right corner because if not the changes that have been just made wont effect the devices.

Deleting Device Types

  1. Login to Single Monitor Web GUI.
  2. Navigate to settings device types.
  3. Click on the check box next to the device type name.
  4. Select Delete from bulk actions click Apply.
