Release Summary
Session Manager
- Users who wire to the active session are recorded in Session Logs.
- In previous versions, manager operations could not be logged in a wired session. The improvement allows logging the manager activities in wire sessions.
- RDP Proxy:
- Users can now see more details about the errors when there is an error in the RDP session establishment process
- HTTP Proxy:
- Http proxy now supports Websocket sessions. After the configurations there is no need to restart the http proxy service, when the configuration file changed with any configuration, the http proxy service is reloading the new configuration file into the service during the runtime.
Data Access Manager
- Couchbase Database Support
- Couchbase Database support is added in this release. Policy enforcement, logging, masking functionalities are available.
- Oracle TOAD SSO case sensitivity
- In previous versions, Oracle users must be defined with UPPER Case in Single Connect for SQL Proxy authentication. Now, Users can be defined regardless of the upper and lower case.
- Assigned Credential Feature for SSO
- Besides global users, only one assigned credential for a user can be used for Oracle/MSSQL Single Sign On Feature.
Desktop Client
- RDP client for Mac OS
- A new desktop client for Mac OS is available. From now on you can use the desktop client on Mac OS to connect to your devices using Single Connect
- Desktop Client - Login screen - resize "server" field
- Username, password, and server fields were widened, in order to make space for longer server names.
Mobile Application
- Export / Import Tokens in Mobile App
- Users can export offline token information for taking backups as a precaution for accidental token loss cases. These tokens can be imported by using the import function.
- SC Mobile Application Approval Man.
- Reservation approval requests now include reservation start and end times.
API
- New APIs for User Management: 18 new API methods are available in the API Collection v2.18.0. User Management can be handled by using the new API methods.
TACACS+ Access Manager
- Time Restriction Policies with timezone for TACACS
- TACACS+ Access Manager can now work with different policies formed for different timezones.
- Radius with ms-chap-v2
- MSCHAPv2(Microsoft’s Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) is supported for RADUS Access Management with the 2.18.0 release.
Other
- New End User Interfaces
- Redesign process for the Single Connect Web GUI, started with End User interfaces. In the 2.18.0 scope, User Profile, Session Management, and Password Management interfaces are redesigned with a completely new look & feel. The new interfaces have the following functions:

- View / Generate SSH Key

- List and Tile View for browsing devices
- Connect to / Make Reservation for RDP and SSH devices
- Select Application / User parameters via GUI for RDP Proxy
- See Password Checkout options for the devices which have also SAPM accounts
My Vault (SAPM Management & Secret Data Vault)
- List and Tile View for browsing SAPM and SDV accounts
- Connect to RDP and SSH devices
- Unified Group and Account View
- See Connection options for the devices of the SAPM accounts
- Multiple LDAP Configuration Screen
- Instead of setting LDAP configurations through system configurations, you can set them from the new Web GUI.
- Parametric Region field visibility
- In previous versions, the region field for device discovery is only used for instances that have a Controller/Controlled license. Now, the Region field can be visible by defining aioc.region.field.visibility in System Config Mang.
- Use sudo command when Linux Audit Report is run
- In previous versions, only root privileged users were used to run Linux Audit Report. Now, useSudoForLinuxAuditReport property should be defined as true on the device group in order that sudoers users are used for running the reports.
- Port Number Property Key for Element Type
- Non-standard port number can be defined for cloud integration by defining device.import.aws.port.number, device.import.azure.port.number, device.import.gcp.port.number parameters in element type
- Zero-touch onboarding of Windows servers on AWS and Azure
- When discovering Windows devices from AWS or Azure, device passwords can be obtained by API calls similar to Linux Cloud Management.
- Configurable auto-discovery of both public and private interfaces on Cloud IaaS
- A device can be imported by public or private IP with preferred option. The new tag.DiscoverInterfaceType property should be defined as public or private value on Device Group.
- Details in Audit Reports for whether accounts are managed by the Password Manager module.
- Linux and Windows audit report have the information of whether these accounts are managed by Password Manager or not.
