VRF Support on Tenants

1min

The VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) feature supports different network interfaces on the different tenant environments’ devices. In a multitenant environment, every tenant has their own devices, and all those devices may have the same IP addresses. From the Single Connect point of view, as those tenants are under the same Single Connect instance, two devices cannot have the same IP addresses. To solve this problem, Single Connect has added functionality to assign VRF interfaces to tenants, allowing the devices to direct their network communication over these assigned interfaces. Predefined interfaces can be selected when creating the tenant, as described in the section Adding Devices Manually

Once the predefined interfaces have been selected, they can now be assigned to an added device under the tenant environment. Right click the device and select Rediscover to select from the available interfaces. The interface can also be selected when adding a new device.

This allows devices under different tenants to have network transportation from different network interfaces.
