Adding Dynamic Configured Static Accounts in Password Vault

To configure the Password Vault for a given system, add a Password Vault account. Authorized users can define target devices' privileged users as Password Vault accounts. When you configure a Password Vault account, Kron PAM connects to the target system, encrypts the password, and stores it in the Kron PAM database.

To add a dynamic configured static account:

1.      Navigate to Secrets > Vault.

2.      Open the Vault tab.

3.      Click +Add and select Add Account.

4.      Enter the Type (Static), Account Subtype (Persistent), Account Name, Description, Group Name, Host (IP/Name), Private, Owner, Additional Info, Username, Password, and Configuration. Configuration is the type of the target system device. Kron PAM has predefined configurations for the Password Vault, but you can add any device configuration from the Configuration tab, as detailed in later sections.

5.      Click Save.
