Managerial Policy Reservation
temporary policy reservation allows users to define time based policies for reserving tacacs and ssh proxy connections it is configured as a temporary policy setting within a policy group and enables access permissions to be granted only during specified time intervals this ensures more efficient and organized use of system resources the user group that wants to perform policy reservations must be granted the temporary policy group permission through the portal function this permission allows users to define temporary policies for specific time intervals to configure temporary policy reservation for time based access control 1 navigate to policy > add policy key 2 define at least one white key and one black key, then save them 3 create a new policy group and assign the defined policies to this group 4\ enable the use for reservation only option and save the policy group 5 to create a new record on the realm screen, select and associate the relevant policy group, user group, and device group, then save 6 log in with the "requester" user 7 navigate to the "device" section and open the "reservations" tab 8 click the "add" button and select the "reservation with policy" option 9 select the target device then, a list of policy groups marked as temporary will be displayed choose the appropriate policy group, and optionally, fill in the reason field if needed after the requester’s manager approves the request, the user can use the temporary policies during the reservation time when this time ends, the system will automatically switch back to the default (permanent) policies
