Vault Agent
The Vault Agent is a deployable service that can be installed directly on application servers or within Kubernetes pods. This agent ensures that credentials remain locally accessible even in environments with intermittent network connectivity. It securely communicates with the Password Vault to retrieve credentials based on the application identity and authorization policies.
On Linux and Windows Servers, the agent operates as a service, allowing applications to access Kron PAM using SDKs connected to the agent. Agents function based on licensing and are listed under the Secrets > Application Management section on the Agent screen.

To install the agent in a new environment:
- Click the Add button on the Agent screen to generate a new Register Key.
- The agent installation is then performed on the respective server or pod using the Register Key.
