Global SSH Key Connections

If an SSH Key is used to connect to a device, it can be configured in Kron PAM as well. To configure this, the Direct Credential Username and Private Key need to be defined for the Device Group:

  1. Navigate to Devices > Device Groups.
  2. Click the device group and select the Properties option.
  3. Click the Edit and Next button.
  4. Set the privileged target device username under the Direct Credential Username.
  5. Set the SSH Key as a Private Key.

To use the Global SSH Key, the PubkeyAuthentication parameter must be defined as yes on the target device.

This parameter can be found in /etc/ssh/sshd_config, and the parameter and its directory may differ depending on the operating system.
