1min
There are two different ways to use the HTTP Proxy for a web page. You can either use the Kron PAM Desktop Client or you can configure a web browser for HTTP Proxy. This topic describes how to configure the Kron PAM Desktop Client for HTTP Proxy without changing any browser’s or computer’s proxy settings.
- Before you begin, follow the steps in Creating Local Users Manually to create a user whose credentials you will need in Step 4.
- Download and install the Kron PAM Desktop Client. For step-by-step instructions, see Desktop Client for Windows User Guide
- Open the desktop client and click Connections and then click Add.
- Enter the Kron PAM IP Address and the Kron PAM UI Port number (The port number defaults to 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS but this port might change as per request).
- If SSL is activated in the network, check the Use SSL box and then click Save.
- Enter the Kron PAM Username and Password. Choose the Kron PAM IP address from the Server dropdown and click Login.
- The Kron PAM device group tab opens. All device groups and the devices that are permitted for the user are listed. Choose an HTTP/HTTPS device and double-click to open up an HTTP or HTTPS session.
