users can categorize agents into three primary groups learning , black , and white modes this classification determines how the agent handles greylisted applications; specifically, it dictates the action taken when a user executes an application that does not have an existing policy when an agent is initially installed, it is set to learning mode and remains in the unassigned group subsequently, agents can be assigned to custom agent groups as required under unassigned agents group, you can assign the agents to agent groups with a actions button at the right side of the screen in the above screenshot to create an agent group 1 the user clicks the add button in the top right corner in the displayed menu click on create agent group upon clicking create an agent group kron pam will display the menu above to the user user will input a group name and then choose the operation mode during the group creation process, agents that are not currently assigned to any group—designated as unassigned —can be added directly to the group as well learning mode no policy enforcement, only logging functionality is active white mode only applications with a defined policy will function according to that policy; all other applications will be blocked white mode should be implemented with caution when this mode is active, any application without an explicit policy is blocked, which may result in system instability or crashes black mode only blocked applications will be blocked any other applications will be permitted
