Release Summary
Below is a comprehensive list of the enhancements, new features, and resolved issues incorporated into version 3.8.0 of Kron DAM&DDM.
Database Activity Monitoring
- All Database Activity Monitoring and Dynamic Data Masking functions have been consolidated under the Database Activity Monitoring menu for improved accessibility and organization.
Database Session Logs
- Active Sessions, Session Logs, and Query Logs have been moved under the Database Activity Monitoring / Database Session Log menu.
- Connection details for active sessions are now displayed under the Active Sessions tab. Active sessions can be terminated directly from this screen.
- Connection details for past sessions are listed under the Session Logs tab. The Show Statement button allows users to navigate to the Query Logs tab to view related queries.
- Query details are available under the Query Logs tab. Clicking the Log cell in each row displays the full query details.
- Process Time, Records Affected, and SQL Error fields have been added to the Query Logs for more detailed monitoring and troubleshooting.
DAM Object Explorer
- The structure of registered databases is now displayed under the Database Activity Monitoring / DAM Object Explorer menu.
- Supported databases are listed in the left panel.
- Selecting a database displays its Metadata at the top of the right panel, and the Database Tree (Schema / Table / Column) at the bottom.
- The Metadata widget now dynamically updates with the details of each selected element in the Database Tree.
Database Alarm
- Alarm-related functionalities can now be managed from the Database Activity Monitoring / Database Alarm menu.
- The History tab displays all past alarms.
- The Policy tab enables the management of alarm rules.
- The Notification Targets tab allows configuration of notification settings.
- Alarms are triggered for the following events:
- Failed login attempts
- Policy violations
- Queries executed on masked table columns
Sensitive Data Discovery
- The Sensitive Data Discovery screen has been moved under Database Activity Monitoring / Sensitive Data Discovery.
- Vault Accounts can now be associated with database connections in Device Management for use during Sensitive Data Discovery operations.
- Masking can be directly applied to columns containing sensitive data from the Sensitive Data Discovery Results screen.
- The Turkish Republic Identity Number (TCKN) detection mechanism has been enhanced to comply with the official format.
- Specific column types can now be excluded from discovery for Oracle, PostgreSQL, Teradata, MSSQL, and MySQL databases (e.g., raw file data types such as CLOB, BLOB, NCLOB, BFILE for Oracle and BYTEA for PostgreSQL).
- The ISO27001 TR standard has been introduced for Turkey-specific data patterns.
Database Audit Report
- The Database Audit Report screen has been relocated under Database Activity Monitoring / Database Audit Report.
- Vault Accounts can now be assigned to database connections in Device Management for use during database audits.
- Database Local Account Security Reports have been added under the Database Audit Report menu.
Vulnerability Scanner
- The Vulnerability Scanner screen has been moved under Database Activity Monitoring / Vulnerability Scanner.
- Vault Accounts can now be added to database connections in Device Management for use during vulnerability scans.
Dynamic Data Masking
- The Masking Method screen has been relocated under Database Activity Monitoring / Masking Method.
Database Firewall
- Single Sign-On (SSO) for Oracle connections has been enhanced with a new Generate Token feature accessible via the GUI.
- Single Sign-On for Microsoft SQL Server connections has been improved to support LDAP password-based authentication, eliminating the need for a secondary password.
- Vault Accounts can now be added to database connections in Device Management for use with SQL Proxy connections.
- The system can now detect Buffer Overflow and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, automatically blocking source IP addresses upon detection.
- A SQL Proxy-specific Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setting has been introduced for enhanced security.
