The external device database import configurations allow Single Connect to automatically detect and discover instances with their tree structure. When the device import job runs, the new additions to the device tree and the devices are synchronized into the Single Connect Device Structure.


The following configuration is required in order to add/discover devices and device trees from external device databases:

- Configurations on the System Config Manager
- Add/Edit Element Type Properties for External Database Integration
- Enable External Device Database Import Job
