This section explains how to change the password of the user defined for the Scheduled Task using Application Configuration and Trigger.

Users need to have configured task information for this option in a similar manner to the example below.

With this definition, when the Vault account's password is changed, reset, or updated, a trigger is generated for the scheduled task to automatically change the password on the target device.

1. Enter the name of the trigger in the Name field.
2. Select the **Application Configuration** with the defined name, like **Windows Scheduled Task.**
3. In the **Windows Scheduled Task Name field**, enter the *same *task name value defined for the Scheduled Task on Windows target device. Otherwise, the password value will not change because Kron PAM cannot find the relevant scheduled task.
4. Select the Vault Account defined in Password Vault whose password you want to change.

If the user added to the Vault account is authorized on the target device to enact changes on scheduled tasks, keep the **Use Authentication User **option inactive. If it is not an authorized user, the **Name and Password **information of the** Administrator user** need to be entered in the relevant fields that appear upon activating the **Use Authentication User **switch.

- Set the Target Type value as **Single Device**.
- Select the target device information where the scheduled task is configured.
- Click **Save**.

After the definition is completed, open the Vault Screen and select the Vault account. Whenever the user selects the Vault account and clicks the** Update** or **Reset** **Password** option, Kron PAM will create a trigger and a password change will be performed, either automatically after some time or upon your manual request from the trigger process list shown on the application management page, as pictured below.
