The **RPAM Connector** is deployed within the corporate internal network and configured with secure connectivity to the Kron PAM platform. Its primary function is to act as a controlled intermediary between the externally accessible **RPAM Portal** and the internal Kron PAM infrastructure.

Through the HTTPS-based secure tunnel, the **RPAM Connector** forwards traffic according to predefined routing and access rules, enabling logical-level communication between the **RPAM Portal **and the Kron PAM platform without exposing the internal network directly to external requests. This architecture ensures that no inbound connections from external networks reach the PAM platform or internal resources directly.

In addition to its routing function, the **RPAM Connector** serves as a preemptive security layer, preventing direct external access to internal systems and reducing the risk of lateral movement. While the introduction of this intermediary layer adds a small latency overhead to data transmission, this trade-off is considered reasonable in exchange for enhanced security and isolation.
