Privileged Task Automation (PTA) enables administrators to automate and manage tasks by creating, organizing, and executing scripts on target devices. This feature streamlines routine operations, reduces human error, and ensures secure execution of privileged commands.

PTA supports Unix/Linux devices and network devices through the SSHv2 protocol, and Windows servers through the WinRM protocol. Enable and configure these protocols on the target devices before you run scripts.

PTA contains three tabs:

·         **Scripts**: Organize, create, and run scripts.

·         **Realms**: Manage user group permissions for script groups.

·         **Logs**: Review script executions.

A separate portal function controls each PTA tab. Kron PAM displays the **Privileged Task Automation** menu only when at least one tab is available to the user. For the portal functions that control the module, see "Privileged Task Automation Authorization."
