The second way to use HTTP Proxy is through Kron PAM Desktop Client Application. The Kron PAM Desktop Client Application can be used to establish an HTTP connection. This section describes how to configure the Desktop Client Application for HTTP Proxy and use the Desktop Client to establish an HTTP connection. 

Using the Kron PAM Desktop Client Application allows using Kron PAM without changing any browser or computer proxy settings. You can download the desktop client from the Kron PAM Web GUI login page.

To configure the Kron PAM Desktop Client Application for HTTP connection:

1.
   Open the Kron PAM Web GUI in an internet browser and click the** Download Desktop Client Application **option on the login page.

   Install the Kron PAM Desktop Client Application by following the instructions.

   Open the Kron PAM Desktop Client Application, click **Connections**, and then click **Add.** Enter the Kron PAM IP address and the Kron PAM UI port number (the default port is 443).

- If **Ignore Certificate Errors **is not selected, after the first HTTP connection attempt, the Kron PAM Desktop Client Application asks whether the user wants to load the HTTP certificate or not. When the user clicks YES, the HTTP certificate is downloaded on the additionalResources folder. This folder is created automatically during the installation of Kron PAM Desktop Client Application.
- Enter the Kron PAM username and password. Select the Kron PAM IP address from the Server section and click Login.

- The Kron PAM device group tab will be displayed. All device groups and devices that the user is allowed to access will be listed. Choose an HTTP/HTTPS device and double-click to open an HTTP or HTTPS session.
