Kron PAM can send email notifications when a user successfully establishes an **RDP, SSH, or SFTP Proxy** connection.

Connection notifications are configured at the **User Group** level. Notification recipients can be defined by using the following user group parameters:

**kronpam.connection.notification.emails**

Specifies the email addresses that receive connection notifications for the related user group. Multiple email addresses can be specified by separating them with commas.

**kronpam.connection.notification.manager**

Specifies whether the manager of the related user group receives connection notifications. Set this parameter to **true** to send the notification to the group manager.

The parameters work independently. If both parameters are configured, the notification is sent to both the defined email addresses and the manager of the related user group.

Connection notifications are applied based on the related user group configuration. If a user belongs to multiple user groups, the realm or group of the connected device is used to determine the applicable notification configuration. Notification recipients configured for other groups are not notified.

Connection notifications are sent by email using the **Connection Notification** email template and include connection information such as the user, connection date and time, connection type, device hostname or IP address, and connection usernames.
