To configure the Password Vault for a given system, add a Password Vault account. Authorized users can define target devices' privileged users as Password Vault accounts. When you configure a Password Vault account, Kron PAM connects to the target system, encrypts the password, and stores it in the Kron PAM database.

To add a dynamic configured static account:

1. Navigate to **Secrets** > **Vault**.

2. Open the **Vault** tab.

3. Click **+Add** and select **Add Account**.

4. Enter the **Type** (*Static*), **Account Subtype **(Persistent), **Account Name**, **Description**, **Group Name**, **Host (IP/Name)**, **Private**, **Owner**, **Additional Info**, **Username**, **Password**, and **Configuration**. **Configuration** is the type of the target system device. Kron PAM has predefined configurations for the Password Vault, but you can add any device configuration from the **Configuration** tab, as detailed in later sections.

5. Click **Save**.
