2.1.1 Understanding License States
Invalid means PAM cannot use or verify the license. Expired has a narrower meaning: the license was valid, but its term has ended. Warning states continue to show live usage. Neutral and blocking states may hide or dim usage data to avoid displaying stale values.
Status | Meaning and Recommended Action |
|---|---|
Valid | The license is active and up to date. No action is required. |
Expiring soon | The license is nearing expiration. Arrange a replacement license. |
Over limit | Usage is above purchased capacity but remains temporarily available. Reduce usage or request additional capacity. |
Extension needed | The license term needs an extension soon. Arrange an extension or upload a replacement. |
Not set | No license has been uploaded. Upload a license. |
Not checked | PAM has not verified the license yet. Refresh the status; contact the administrator if it persists. |
Expired | The license term has ended. Renew or upload a replacement license. |
Corrupted | The license file is damaged or cannot be validated. Upload a valid replacement. |
Invalid file | Required license information is missing. Request and upload a valid file. |
Check failed | An unexpected validation error occurred. Retry, then contact support if it persists. |
Read error | PAM could not read the license file. Check access and upload it again. |
File missing | No license file was found. Upload or restore the license file. |
Path not set | The license location is not configured. Contact the administrator. |
System error | PAM could not read the system identifier. Contact the administrator or Kron support. |
UUID mismatch | The license was issued for another system. Request a license for the current system. |
Unsupported OS | The operating system is not supported for validation. Contact Kron support. |
Time tampering detected | A clock change triggered license protection. Restore the correct time and contact Kron support. |
