User sessions can be terminated based on idle time. The default value is 15 seconds.

To change the timeout value:

1. Open and edit file **/pam/sftp/conf/nsso.properties**. Change the value of **nsso.sftp.channel.open.timeout **as desired.
2. Restart the SFTP Proxy service with the following command: **systemctl restart pam-sftp.service**
