SSH Proxy Connections
Users can establish an SSH Connection in various ways, which are managed as device group properties. The Kron PAM SSH Proxy allows for manual log in to target devices, and the connection can also be established with a global username and password. If the session user wishes to connect to a target device, it can also be added to the user selection. SSH proxies can be used to connect to target devices, not only with a global SSH Key, but also with an SSH Passphrase. SSH Proxy connections can also be managed by using the domain user credentials and the Kron PAM assigned credentials. The Managerial Approval feature is available for SSH proxy connections and when the configuration for the approval mechanism is set, SSH proxy connections can be controlled with managerial approvals. SSH Proxy connections can be established through the Kron PAM Web GUI, the Kron PAM Desktop Client, or native clients such as PuTTY, MobaXterm, etc.
The SSH connection options described above are addressed below, with step-by-step SSH Proxy connection configurations in Kron PAM.
