This section will explain how to change the passwords of the users defined in the **Datasources of the IBM Websphere Server with the help of Application Configuration and Trigger.**

WinRM Service must be installed on the server where the **WebSphere** application is installed.

Websphere server configuration must have been completed before. The username and password information in the Security tab in Data Source must have been changed to Vault Account.

For the Password Change option of the Websphere Server Data Source, an Application Trigger Config definition must be made first. 

1. Navigate to** Secrets > Configurations menu > Application Configuration Tab page.**
2. Click the +**Add** and the Enter parameters.

- Enter the name of the trigger in the Name field.
- Websphere is selected as a **Strategy.**

The WinRM service will be used while connecting to the WebSphere Server; therefore, the WinRM port information must be entered. 

- Select NTLM as the WinRM Authentication Method and 
- Click the **Save** button.

1. Navigate to **Secrets >Application Management** screen.
2. Add a new trigger.

1. Click the +**Add** button.
2. A new Trigger Adding popup will appear and the user will enter related information as below picture.
3. Enter the name of the trigger in the Name field.
4. Select the **Application Configuration** with the defined name above the definition value like **Websphere.wsadmin.bat** is a script used to perform administrative tasks on the IBM WebSphere Application Server. This tool is essential for automating and managing various administrative tasks from the command line. In the **wsadmin.**

The username and password information to be used for connection to the wsadmin console must be entered in the relevant fields on the screen.

1. In the **Data Source Name field**, the same value name defined in Websphere Server Data source Alias must be entered. Otherwise, the password value will not change because the system will not find the relevant data source. 
2. Select the Vault Account that is defined in Password Vault and whose password we want to change.
3. If the user defined for Password Vault is an authorized user to make changes, the **Use Authentication User **switch box is turned off. If it is not an authorized user, in this case, the **Name and Password **information of the** Administrator user** must be entered in the relevant fields.
4. The Target Type value should be selected as **Single Device**.
5. Device information where the IBM WebSphere server is installed and the device to be modified must be selected. Click **the Save** button, and then the configuration will be completed.

After the definition is completed, the Vault screen must be opened, and the Vault account must be selected. Whenever the Vault account is selected and the **Update** or **Reset Password** option is clicked, a trigger will be created as explained in the previous sections, and a password change will be performed.

1. Navigate to **Secrets > Configurations > Application Configuration** screen. 
2. Select **Strategy **as** Windows Services.**

After defining the Application Configuration, the user creates a new trigger from the **Application Management** screen.

When the **Save** button is clicked, the services assigned to the Vault will be listed on the screen. A random order number will be assigned to the services associated with the Vault account.

The order of Windows Services execution can be changed from the screen.

After the sequencing for Windows Services is completed, the **Confirm Order** button must be clicked to **Save **the relevant changes. When the Application Trigger job starts, the system will start **Windows Services** sequentially.
