Users may require access not only to the main internet domains defined as devices but also to their associated subdomains. However, certain customers prefer to restrict access to subdomains, allowing users to access only the specified main domain. With this parameter **http.proxy.allow\.sub.domain.access **, users can be granted or restricted access to all subdomains related to the domain.

- If the **http.proxy.allow\.sub.domain.access** parameter in the /pam/http/conf/http\_proxy.properties file is set to true.

- The subdomains of the domain defined in the **Device** **Definition** will be accessible.

- According to the above definition, the [https://login.pega.com](https://login.pega.com) subdomain can be accessed from a browser.

- If the **http.proxy.allow\.sub.domain.access** parameter in the /pam/http/conf/http\_proxy.properties file is set to false, the subdomains cannot be reached (according to the above example, the link https\://login.pega.com cannot be accessed).
