Approval Management
Managerial Approval in Shared Account Password Manager (SAPM)
The Kron PAM Password Vault component SAPM has a managerial approval feature. SAPM manages the passwords of target devices in its Password Vault. It changes the passwords periodically and allows users to check out passwords from SAPM. Alternatively, if the Account Base Approval structure is enabled, users have to request approval before accessing the account.
SAPM approval adds another level of security to password checkout, as managerial approval to check out the password. To configure SAPM Manager Approval:
- Navigate to Policy Control > Approval Management.
- Select SAPM as the Approval Type, and click the Search button to list all the SAPM approval requests.
- Click the Options button on a request to approve or reject.

The Approval Management page shows the request details and the Approver Manager, which helps identify who will be approving the request.
