Visualizing Reports and User Rights
Superset reporting functions can be accessible from Kron PAM:
- Navigate to Dashboard > Reports > Report Designer.
- After the first login, the user gets one of the following rights in the reporting module, according to his/her assigned portal functions:
Right | Portal Function Parameter | Definition |
---|---|---|
Admin | The admin user is automatically created with admin rights. | An Admin user has all the user rights and can access all the menu elements. An Admin can see all the report data without an implicit filter. |
Reporter | Single.connect.reporter.admin should be assigned to the user group from the Portal functions in order to have this role in Superset. | A Reporter user has the ability to create new charts and dashboards. A Reporter can also edit or delete existing reports. A Reporter can only see the data related to himself/herself, and can only access Charts, Dashboards, and SQL Lab menu elements. |
Auditor | single.connect.report.auditor should be assigned to the user group from the Portal functions in order to have this role in Superset. | An Auditor user can see all data without implicit filter. A Public user can only access the Dashboard menu. |
Public | If the user is not Admin, or does not have any of the above functions assigned to him/her, the user gets Public rights. | A Public user is the basic user, and can only see the reports, and only his/her own data in these reports. A Public user can only access the Dashboard me |
A user can access the created reports from the Report Designer tab under the Dashboard > Reports section on Kron PAM as illustrated in the figure above.
An Admin can create customized roles from the Settings/List Roles section, as illustrated in the figure above, and can also assign them to users from the Settings/List Users section. A user can have multiple rights.
An Implicit filter is the filter that disables user access to all data in the system. It restricts the user to only see the data filtered by its own username. An Implicit filter is not applied to Admin or Auditor roles.
