A Masking Policy must be defined for the database in order to activate the masking feature when using SQL Proxies.

1. Navigate to **Policy Control **> **SQL Proxy Policy**.
2. Open the** Masking Policy** tab.
3. Enter the masking name, description, database name, schema, table, column or column type, and masking method (defined in the Masking Method Tab).
4. Click **Save**.
