Update & Patch Installation

prerequisites download the core patch/update installation package kron pam installation packages are uploaded to sftp server, filerepo krontech com the kron support team provides customers with credentials and a core installer filename download the kron pam core patch/update installation package to the target server from filerepo krontech com before starting the installation procedure make sure to download the file with the following patterns singleconnect x xx xx patch tar or singleconnect x xx 0 update tar check the md5 hash of the file to ensure you downloaded the file without corruption installing the update & patch package extracting the downloaded file using the following command \[root\@sc ]# tar xvf single connect 2 17 0 update tar run the update sh command the script checks the statuses of the components and the current version of kron pam and then shows available updates the installer shows you two installation types you need to select the second option, update to install on an existing installation then the installer will show you the following three options option description database updates only applies only to database changes select this option only to apply database changes package updates only applies only to package changes select this option to install the patch on a node both database & package updates applies all packages and database changes this option can be installed on all nodes involved in the replication select the correct option (see the following table), and then press enter after selecting the correct option, the patch will be executed straightforwardly patch automatically restarts the kron pam components and database to apply changes if the installation finishes successfully, no errors will be displayed when the installation finishes, execute the health check commands described in the kron pam maintenance and operation guide post check check the latest status of the modules by using the following command \[root\@sc ]# /u01/netright tomcat/netright/scripts/list sc services sh open your web browser and type the url address of kron pam web gui the kron pam portal will load successfully
