Download the Kron PAM patch package before starting the installation procedure. Kron PAM installation packages are uploaded to the filerepo.krontech.com SFTP Server. The Krontech support team provides the credentials and patch filename. 

Also, note the following:

- The following installation procedure restarts Kron PAM components automatically.
- You must execute the installation procedure with root privileges.
- If database replication exists on instances, stop the replication process before patch installation with the following command:
  - `[root@localhost]#``systemctl stop edb-xdbpubserver.service`
- If database changes should be applied with patch installation on locally/geographically replicated nodes, the Krontech support team will need to change some configurations in the database replication settings.
