The Description field in a **Tenable Security Center **Credential record plays a critical role in enabling seamless integration with **Kron PAM**. This field serves as an integration key, allowing Kron PAM to identify which credential in TSC corresponds to a specific managed account within the **Kron PAM Vault**.

During automated password rotation, Kron PAM references this field to locate and update the appropriate credential record in Tenable Security Center, ensuring synchronization between both systems.

### Example Description Field Format

To allow Kron PAM to correctly identify the credential for update, the **Description** field should follow a standardized format:

:::CodeblockTabs
Description Format Example

```linux
username;IPADDRESS;Protocol
```
:::

| **Use Case** | **Example Description Field Value** |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| SSH Password     | osuser;10.20.60.49;SSHv2               |
| Windows Password | oracle\_user;192.168.1.100;ORACLE\_TNS |
| Oracle Database  | admin\_svc;172.16.5.5;RDP              |

By adhering to this format, Kron PAM can accurately match the account whose password has been rotated in the Vault with the corresponding Credential record in Tenable Security Center, thereby enabling automatic credential updates without manual intervention.
