Adding passwords to Kron PAM’s Password Vault is the foundational step in ensuring that UCMDB can securely retrieve the necessary credentials for device scanning. To add passwords to Kron PAM, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to the Kron PAM web user interface.
2. Navigate to the Secrets menu where credentials are stored.
3. To create a new **Vault group**, click the **+Add **button, and complete the required fields.
4. Click **Save** to apply the changes.

- Click the **+Add** button to create a new **Password Vault** account, then complete the required fields.
- Select the previously created **Password Vault** group and** Save** the record.
