Accounts managed dynamically in the **Password Vault** use an **Application Token** to establish a **Token Authentication** structure for applications. This allows applications to directly send **RESTful API** requests to retrieve the password of the relevant application account from the Password Vault.

The **Application Token** mechanism not only enables direct access for applications but also forms the foundation of the **AAPM Agent**'s operation. It serves as the authentication layer for the agent, which acts as an intermediary between the application and the **Password Vault**, ensuring secure account retrieval.
