Commands entered under the **Application Catalog** are applied to everyone by default. However, since real-world scenarios are often more complex, it may be necessary to define exceptions to cover specific cases. This is where **Advanced Policy** comes into play.

**Advanced Policy** is used to define rules for specific users or user groups on specific endpoints or endpoint groups, effectively creating exceptions to the general rules applied to everyone.
