Sensitive Data Discovery

Data Regulatory Standards

1min

In Kron PAM, Data Standards are predefined groups of data types, each designed to comply with specific regulatory frameworks. These data standards simplify the discovery of sensitive data within your databases by providing predefined regular expression patterns for detecting data types. By default, Kron PAM provides several regulatory standards, which contain these regex patterns.

These data standards include:

• AAPS (Australian Privacy Principles) • APPI (Act on the Protection of Personal Information - Japan) • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) • Digital Personal Data Protection Bill (India) • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation - EU) • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - USA) • ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Standard) • KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law - Turkey) • LGPD (General Data Protection Law - Brazil) • Nevada Privacy Law • PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) • PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act - Canada) • Privacy Act NZ (New Zealand) • SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act - USA)

When importing or exporting data, users can view which data types are associated with which data standards. This information is presented in the Data Types screen, allowing for better understanding and control over sensitive data discovery processes. Additionally, filtering by data standards is available, helping users manage data types according to specific regulatory frameworks.
