SQL Proxy
Preliminary Steps for SQL Proxy

Before utilizing SQL Proxy for database connection, adhere to the following preliminary steps:
- Add your database to DAM.
- Enter necessary database details (name, username, password, and SQL Proxy Bind Port).
- Ensure the SQL Proxy Bind Port is defined under database properties.
User Creation:
- Create a user in DAM with the same credentials (username and password) as in the database.
Policy Key Setup:
- Create a "Policy Key" in DAM, such as a "White Key" to define user permissions.
Group and Realm Setup:
- Create groups and realms by combining users, devices, and policy keys.
The username and password must match the credentials used to connect directly to the database. The same username must be created as a user in Kron PAM. A system admin must also set up realms to manage connections and enforce policies.
