Connecting to Devices with Managerial Approval via SSH

1min

Admins can configure devices to allow access only after managerial approval. This section describes how to proceed with the approval process in SSH sessions for such devices.

When you attempt to access a device configured with managerial approval, the following confirmation message will appear in the SSH session.

Start (y) or Reject (n) Managerial Approval Process for SSH
Start (y) or Reject (n) Managerial Approval Process for SSH

Proceed with the managerial approval process, as described below:

a) To avoid starting an approval process, type n.

b) To start the approval process to connect to the device, type y. The system will send the approval email to the assigned manager, and you will see the following message which has an Approval ID. If you started the approval process by typing y, you can follow up on the approval status using the Approval ID.
